So a lot’s been going on behind the scenes the last little while, but finally… WE MADE IT! 🥳 The Our Era Community website and mobile app is now live!

I know how hard it is to stand out as an artist in today’s chaotic online world. That’s why I’ve created this platform… to give everyone in the music industry a breather from the exhausting social media noise, giving us all a distraction free, music focused space to share, connect, collaborate, and grow together. Somewhere where we can all support each other and help each other level up.

The goal was to build a platform that brings the music creators, DJ’s, fans, clubbers, labels, event promoters, and other industry pros together under one digital roof.

And so, the Our Era Community was born. A vibrant community hub where you can connect and hang with like minded people, share your latest tracks, plan your next clubbing outings with your mates, swap production tips, geek out over your favourite gear, and discover new music, new DJs, and events. Think of it as the ultimate hangout spot for anyone who lives and breathes electronic music.

Remember the days of Dont Stay In, Banging Tunes and the Silk City forums when the scene was buzzing and everything just worked? Imagine if someone was crazy enough to bring that same vibe back on a brand new platform with modern technology for 2026. Well, that crazy person is me. Now, it exists… it’s bigger and better than ever, AND it’s free! (There’s also a dedicated mobile app too)

Before social media came along and those platforms were our favourite spots, we could fully connect in a focused, dedicated space, plan nights out, discover new music and events, and hear the latest news from the club scene. It was a simpler time, but it worked… and it worked brilliantly.

There was a real sense of family and camaraderie between DJs, producers, clubbers, and the events that bought it all together that has since been lost. One that our newer generations have never even experienced!

So that’s the spirit I want to revive with the Our Era Community, and I’m doing it with a fresh, user-focused twist, adding in modern features to make it even better than before bringing us into 2026 and beyond.

And honestly, it’s becoming clearer by the day that its the perfect time for this shift. Mainstream social media platforms are slowly collapsing under their own weight. People are frustrated with the daily content creation grind, with having to pay for ads in an over-saturated digital jungle just to be seen and heard, only for posts to get lost in the endless void of dopamine-hungry news feeds after a couple of hours anyway, if they even get seen at all. How many times have you doom scrolled for 15 minutes, completely forgetting why you even opened the app? If you even went on there for any specific reason in the first place other than habit

The agendas behind the mainstream platforms are also now coming to light, and some of them are far from savoury. Negativity, toxicity, and irrelevant distractions have taken over. It’s no wonder the music industry, its artists, events, and culture, is getting drowned out by photos of peoples dinners, politics, pet videos, and random viral clips that have no substance. Trying to get our music or events seen and heard through all of that is getting tougher by the day!

Unlike the algorithm chaser platforms that penalise us, remove our posts, and limit our organic reach for sharing links to our music, mixes, events, or livestreams… Our Era rewards you for promoting your music,  your events and for helping others level up.

The more you engage by posting, replying, answering questions, supporting others, sharing your music, mixes, livestreams and events, and being a part of the conversation… the more you’re rewarded with Era Credits

Era Credits can be redeemed for feature space for your music and events, or anything else music related that you want to promote. Whether it’s a pinned Beatport/Bandcamp/Spotify player for your new single, a banner for your event, or a feature for your livestream or YouTube channel, or anything else… the most active members get the spotlight they deserve, for free, in laser targeted focused sections of the website and mobile app where it will get the most visibility to others interested in your genre.

I also wanted to make sure that all music players and YouTube videos are playable directly from your posts, so if someone wants to support you and stream or buy your music, all they have to do is click on the button on your player to do so. (BTW, you can also embed music players and YouTube videos directly into your profile page’s ‘About Me’ section if you use the embed code when sharing from either of those platforms)

We want everyone to be seen and heard here. All new posts go to the top. And, any post from any time that gets a new comment rises back to the top, ensuring everyone has a fair chance to get eyes and ears on their posts. No algorithms, no unfair filters, no favoured creators getting seen before you… just pure, community-driven visibility.

The community moderators will be keeping a close eye out so that people don’t abuse the system by unfairly bumping posts over and over too. We want to make sure that everybody gets a fair chance to showcase their music or event, and to get the help that they need in the Q&A forums. The aim is to keep it organic and real, so that everyone gets to be seen.

The only mission here is music & growth, for us all! To bring the music community back together so we can all help each other level up, support one another, and thrive from doing what we love doing.

There are dedicated sections for everything: producers can connect with DJs, labels can find the producers, clubbers can discover events, producers can find solutions to things that they’re stuck on, the events can find the perfect DJs… and so on. It’s all here in one focused space, free from the noise and distractions of traditional social media.

Lastly, I’ve also included a mental health support section, bringing in professional coaches and experts to assist with any troubles that you might be having. By creating a second account for use in that specific forum, you can also remain anonymous when posting in there, if you wish.

The same as the rest of the Our Era Community website, The Sanctuary is designed to be a safe, non-judgemental space for producers, DJs, ravers, clubbers, and music enthusiasts to share their thoughts, seek support, and connect with others who truly understand. There’s no shame in asking for help, or simply needing to get something off your chest. We’re all here to support each other.

The Our Era Community is your new home for all things music.

Stay tuned for updates as more cool features are added…

The community website is just one thing that I’ve built for you. We now also have a bunch of immersive virtual worlds where we can hang out and network like never before, The Our Era Marketplace where you can build your own branded store for free and sell your own digital and physical products (think eBay & Etsy crossed over for the music community). We have our own Virtual DJ Software (The VDJ 5000) where you can jam for free and also browse and download a ton of brand new underground tracks (and add your own tracks to the library too)… as well as a ton more stuff… but more on all that soon in another post.

This is Our Era.
