So i got given a bunch of top lines from the lead singer (Rob Jones) from a band called "Missing Andy" (anyone know them?) .. i went full throttle, managed to write an orchestral backing track starting with a few samples, working out the notes and then using these notes to create a bigger sound .. if you would give this a listen i would much appreciate the feedback .. https://on.soundcloud.com/u9aYiJ2Xjfv9a7Pg8

Production, arrangement, and sound design wise, I wouldn't change anything at all.
The orchestral stuff sounds spot on and the vocals sound wicked. Really cool bro.
The only thing I would do next is either:
1, Get it mixed and mastered by someone and call it done... or
2, Put a reference track in the top of your project and get involved on the mixing and mastering yourself.
If you're choosing the latter... the closest thing I can think of as a reference off the top of my head is Thievery Corporation - Incident at Gate 7 (The 2022 Re-master)
I just listened to them side by side, and where the Thievery Corp track doesn't have a vocal or a full orchestral part like yours, it does have a string and the rest of the sound design is pretty close. Maybe try this as a reference, making sure that there is also space for the vocal to sit on top of the orchestral stuff.
All I think it needs it a bit of separation on some of the sounds (maybe just use track spacer) and add a little bit of sheen and width in the top end from the hi-hats, strings, and vocals.
You don't want it too digital and clean though. I reckon the Thievery Corporation track is about as far as you wanna go top end wise. I'll link it below...

so in answer to your last question, i shared the link via my laptop running windows 11.
and as for the rest of your reply, daaaaaamn. thats some f-ing good advice, youve just saved me hours of looking for a reference track ... i did use track spacer on the strings to make the vocals wit a bit more, the other advice im gonna try out tommorow or friday ..
Ive had a wicked idea for a new edit, but ill post that on the other bit of this forum ..
