Hey all,
just want to present the last released track. I'm eager to hear your opinions. Perhaps someone could give me a tip on how to promote our music so that it gets played. Please be honest. What are we still doing wrong (sound, arrangement, mastering, etc.)?
Best regards from Austria

@ogs Loving this one as well bud. The overall sound design and arrangement is great. This is just personal preference but the mix could be slightly more separated in places. Sounds good but very compressed and saturated in the mids and high mids. For my ears the saturation is a tiny bit overcooked, but again this is just personal preference. It's not to say its wrong. As a track it works well. Maybe just give the mix a once over, or get a fresh perspective on it with a different mixing/mastering engineer to see. I know how hard it is to mix and master tracks we've produced ourself. Some fresh ears on the mix defo helps sometimes. If you can get the mix similar to the other track you posted "Full In Motion" then I reckon it would be spot on!
As far as promotion goes, thats the big one! There is loads of different strategies. I would start with getting a list together of all of the big DJs that play similar stuff and the active up and coming DJs, finding all of their promo email addresses and send it out to a them to see if they will play it. I also use Bandcamp a lot for releasing because that way you can email all of your followers every time you do a new release. I know social media is a grind but also promote it as much as possible on whatever channels you have (and feel free to keep posting them all in here. released tracks can go in The Underground section under Drum & Bass). Also send it to as many blogs and radio stations as you can and live stream your DJ sets as much as possible if you have the means. There is a ton of ways but pick a few things that could work for you and test them out to see what gets the most traction
