This week we’re joined by Birmingham club scene veteran Chad Lewis, a DJ and promoter who’s been in the game for over 30 years. We go right back to the 90s as Chad paints a picture of what the Birmingham nightlife was really like — from iconic nights like Slag and Tin Tins, to the energy, the crowds, and the tunes that defined an era. We talk about finding his sound across pumpin house, handbag house and speed garage, plus the transition from vinyl culture to today’s digital world. Chad also opens up about promoting events, booking big artists, running his Groovedigital label (and bringing it back 👀), and some of the most chaotic nights he’s ever experienced.
