Tried Splice, Tracklib and Loopcloud so far. Recently cancelled Splice in favour of Loopcloud. Started to hear splice samples everywhere and fancied a switch. Impressed with Loopcloud's software that sorts out all your existing samples (took it 7 hours to go through my sample collection dating back to Datafile CD's lol) and is pretty accurate with it's tags. Excellent time saver.
Hi Detzen
Personally I use mainly Loopcloud, the loopsounds vst makes it super easy to listen to samples in the context of the track and I have personally found myself using samples I never would have used had I not heard it in the context of the mix.
@jono_blanshard I agree. Although I'm more keen on using one shots, Tempo sync and key shift to all the loops takes the trial and error out of taking a chance and trying to manipulate it afterwards. Decent time stretch algorithm too, especially a few bpms either way.
Splice does similar with the Bridge plugin, but I couldn't get it to play ball half the time.
@detzen I swear by Loopcloud for every track.
I did start with Splice originally, but the DAW integration on Loopcloud is what sold it for me. Being able to preview samples that are still in the cloud, in time, and in key seamlessly with the track you're making, before you even spend your points on them is spot on!
I know Splice have added a bunch of new features since I last tried it though, so I might take another look. Loopcloud has been part of my workflow now though for about 6/7 years. Love it.
In case you want to say thank you 👍

@riggsy_dharkfunkh I hear ya. Loopcloud has definitely got my attention. i like how it works offline with my existing sample folders (including all the splice samples I own.... Man, finding anything through those umpteen folder levels is a pita without the splice app running). Impressed so far. Plus the assurance that a sample from them won't come back around and bite you for copyright...*cough* Vengeance.... Knightforce....Datafile 😳
@detzen Haha yeah, you defo don't need that hassle 😂 I've been using it a good few years now and never had a problem with copyrights. Should be sound!
